Aw, it's August, and people are on vacation and have non-audio/music activities on their mind.I think that people who want polite go to boards like audiogon; people who want big fights go to boards like audio annex. This board has that playful middle ground between the boring and the mean-spirited.
I'm always surprised at which music posts receive a lot of responses and which ones receive none - it's a roll of the dice. People's interests on this board (as with any other board) are all over the map and in total leave open many, many gaps.
I suspect that people tend to go to other boards to discuss topics that don't get so much discussion here (like the blue note board for old jazz reissues).
