Even though I agree with everything you said, I still listed Miles.
Why?

His early stuff was THAT good. Some of the stuff he did on the Prestige label was wonderful. And even some of his Columbia stuff is good (I know Milestones is overplayed, but that's because it's a classic that's never been out of print. It does have Red Garland playing Billy Boy, though).

Basically, the way I look at it is that Miles died in the mid 60's. The problem is that he kept recording afterwards :-)
