Hello,
I am rebuilding my CD collection and this is a superb opportunity for me to acquire approximately 12-24 chamber music discs (could be more if I get hooked). I already have a number of solo piano recordings and I am quite familiar with the repertoire. I am looking for guidance regarding solo violin, solo cello, quartets, quintets, etcSo where to start? Bach Partitas? Haydn quartets (so many!), Mozart, Quartets or quintets? Beethoven sonatas or trios? Schubert? Brahms? Mendelssohn? ... HELP!
What I have already is listed below:
