We have three versions of this on LD & DVD -* San Francisco production with Eva Marton - "The Gramophone" sums it up as "little point in loooking for visual subtlety or listening to vocal allure: a brash and thoroughly charmless Turandot"
* the ArenadiVerona production which I like
* the DVD Mehtna Forbidden City of Beijing production which has only arrived recently so I've not seen yet. It cost a mint to make and is visually spectacular but I reserve opinion on the singing until I've seen it all through.
I urge you to look for a video production. It is a thrilling opera.
