Just got back from the local flea market with an LP haul and played my big find--Italiano Beethoven op 18 quartets. Box set, mint condition. Figured I would pop in to Music Lane to share my excitement w/this find, and what do you know, here you guys are.I'm a relative novice to Classical, but several years ago the Italiano was my introduction to string quartet music (the Mozart "Haydn" Quartets.) On first listen, I think the Beethoven set will join these as favorites.
Hope to be able to find the op 59 set, since I've never been able to "get it" on these middle Beethoven quartets. I figure the Italiano may be able to do it for me. Back to the Flea Market...
