While I'm sure others will provide more modern recording recommendations, I should probably also mention that both Furtwangler and Toscanini did this piece...and the attributes one would expect from each conductor are apparent in each case. Might be worth looking up even though the sound isn't quite so splendid as you might like.Happy spinning,
