I'd hardly call the music produced by Mr. Brubeck as "light". I think one critic expressed the playing of Dave Brubeck rather concisely as "ham handed". To me, the greatest thing to come of this group is the incredible melodic sensibility of the great Paul Desmond. The rest of the band is little more than a great rhythm section backing Paul Desmond.
