First of all, my experience isn't that great.
Besides, I have different feelings about live and recorded performances.
Period instruments alive sound ok to me.
I don't understand why, I never liked the few records I heard. If only I had any on vinyl instead of CD...
One I own is the Immersel/Anima Aeterna M. Ricca mentioned. Though very nice alive (they've been here several times in the last years), I don't like the CD at all. It's... sort of... boring :-(
It's dry, lifeless, well, I don't know.
One interesting CD I own is from Keith Jarreth. Perhaps I should precise I own "a few" Mozart piano concerts :-)
Haskill, Argerich, Perahia, are among those I like most. I like K.466, K.467 & K.595 a lot, and also K.488, well... I like them all :-)
