Pentangle and Renaissance are the two groups that first come to my mind.
There's a pretty good 2 CD set of Pentangle (First Flight) or get all of the original albums (they REALLY are that good). I've heard a couple of the reconstituted Pentangle and I'm less than impressed.
My favorite Rennaissance are the 2 CDs - Tales of 1000 Nights.
