I heard a version which near the end of the record when the Boomerang is thrown you hear the swishhh-sswissshhh sound effects of it "flying" thru the air & fading into the distance, then there was a "bang" and sound effect of an aircraft crashing after being hit by the Boomerang.

BUT, I can't remember this aircraft effect being in the version I'd heard several years ago--in the one I remember (or seem to), he throws the Boomerang, you hear the "swissh-swissshhh" sound of its flight fade into the distance then he starts singing again.
