This article doesn't really add anything new to the debate, but it does reinforce the likelihood of people buying more CDs if the prices are reasonable. It would be interesting to review sales to downloading/CD-burning figures for more budget-oriented releases. I suspect that Naxos CDs, for instance, aren't copied that often. Similarly, catalogue releases and reissues are usually more affordable, in the $10-$12 range.Like a lot of people, I'm more inclined to buy a CD when it doesn't cost $15-$19 (with a few exceptions, like rare discs or imports). When the prices are ridiculous (like the $18.98 list price remastered Peter Gabriel discs!) I just don't buy. Are you listening record companies?
