Spade Cooley & the Western Swing Dance Gang are indispensible. Try "Shame On You", on Bloodshot Records. It's a fine mix of forties Western Swing and Texas Polka. Swingin' fiddles and jammin' accordion and that twangy lead slide guitar! A few vocal numbers with Tex Willams, too. This set was transcribed from acetates. The most fun on disc for me last year.
