is that you can take recordings you have listened to many times and find completely new aspects to them. It is almost like getting a whole new record collection. However it is always nice to have a selection of a few reference disks. Check for sure the Absolute Sound website where editor Harry Pearson has his famous lists of super disks. A couple of suggestions: Kraftwerk's The Mix where the grandfathers of electronic pop music set up soundscapes of great subtlety and complexity. Any of the following titles on French label Harmonia Mundi: Music of Ancient Greece, Dances of Hungary, Tarantelles. This primarily early music label put out many very natural recordings on vinyl and the virtues carry over to the CDs.
