I did find a working 2000 model year Hi-Fi VCR for $20 though at the Seattle Goodwill... It's ensconsed in my Digital Audio Workstation/computer.Only problem is that whenever I play audio tapes, I get interference w/ the speakers... Gotta work on that one.
Anyway, did pick up some good and very clean LP's today.
At the St Vincent De Paul store in South Seattle I got
Yes: Fragile
Joni Mitchell: Kajira
Box Scaggs: Silk Degrees
and Carol King: Music
Found no VCR there that was worth anything so I headed to the GW, also in South Seattle and got these. I paid all of $3.70 for those.1 Panasonic Omnivision Hi-Fi VCR (needed a little tweeking to get it working and is about a year old)
A excellent copy of Bachman Turner Overdrive's Not Fragile (cover looks almost new, album just as nice)
Another Herb Alpert and the TJB: Vol 2 dusty but in good shape, visually at least. Have not played it yet.
And an original pressing (I think) of Seals and Croft's Diamond Girl (still in store wrapper and is a gatefold). Sounds quite clean.
For that haul, I paid $24 and some change. Not as cheap as your haul but still nice non the less...
Smilingly yours.
John.
