Hi folks. This past saturday I got the rare chance to hear singer/songwriter Richard Buckner live at the Pop Cafe in Grand Rapids, MI. Accompanying himself on various guitars and with a sideman playing pedal steel, Buckner put on a very moving set. I'd describe it as rootsy folk and folk-rock, in the vein of Greg Brown. Most of Buckner's songs sound like they're a hundred years old. Great stuff. Check him out if he's near your area:
