CIMP make some of the best CDs around, possibly the best. Very simply miked and usually recorded in smaller rooms, the sound can be incredibly live. I have heard a lot of the catalogue, maybe most of it, and have never heard anything that was less than superb, as far as recording quality goes. Incidently, the recording engineer on all the CIMP recordings is Vladamir who also happens to be the main man at North Country Audio. He really knows his stuff!
