I don't have specific knowledge of most of your stuff (system), but it looks like way better than the average system. It should more of less show you what's on the cd's. I think that's what's happening - your system is showing you that those R&R cd's are recorded and mixed to sound good on crappo systems and car radios, rack systems and big ol' 15 inch woofer 10lb speakers hidden behind easy chairs, and with the loudness button pushed ALL the way, please.I made the mistake of trying really hard to get a system that sounded better with crap cd's before I finally got tired of R&R on CD. Some of the jazz and classical I mostly listen to now (mostly lp) would have sounded pretty good a couple of amps and speaker ago too, on the other hand.
I guess what I'm saying is that bad recordings will sound worse on a better system? Don't judge the system by the bright sibilance on pop cds. Getting a warm tube amp and warm cables and dac with rolled off treble and sub and pointing the tweaters away from you can help but it won't make audiophile recordings sound more natural.
In other words, it's a quagmire.
