There was some nice coverage in USA Today of Louis Armstrong as his "reported" 7/4 100th birthday approaches (though the article points out that Satchmo's actual b-day was 8/4/01). They also discussed to some degree his discology and some new releases coming out in the near future.
Question--as you might guess, the discology and new releases only discussed CD. What are some nice VINYL recommendations for Armstrong, either of a recent reissue, or reissues from the 60s - 80s that are worth grabbing. Obviously, I'm not interested in the original 78s--besides the fact that I can't play 78s, such discs would be for collectors only (and pricey!!) I'm looking for some vinyl TO PLAY and listen to the music.
