But I'm glad he's at rest. I lost my mother to Alzheimer's last year. A horrible disease and a horrible way to die.
I fell in love with his music when I got his "Bennett/Berlin" album kind of as a lark when it came out. I'd always know about him, but kind of put him in that belter category. This album took him to a different level. It and his Gershwin album were on constant rotation in my house.
There are some earlier albums, especially him and Evans, I enjoy but this period starting with Berlin just seemed to get it right for me.
