Went to a jazz concert last night. It's a very impressive building.
I had a seat right in the dead center of the orchestra, of the performance structure actually. I wasn't too pleased with the acoustics. Too bright sounding, the percussion sounds didn't seem to quite arrive when they should of.
It is a very highly reviewed venue. I had this problem once at our school auditorium, that the dead center (actually a bit forward of the actual center) would have the two loudspeakers firing down in synch, which was just too strident.
Oh well, no more center seats for me :-)
