In 1968 acid certainly had a different meaning than it had a scant few years previous.
Never one to miss a trend (and start some too*!), the brilliant conguero and bandleader Ray Barretto
titled his debut Fania LP Acid though there's not any psychedelia in the music.
There are lots of great Latin grooves, some serious R&B/soul sounds and some fine playing.
Acid has become a classic.
