Abrecht and Oehms dust off Maazel's "Ring Without Words."

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

When contributing to discussions about Maazel "home runs" I always forget Telarc's old "Ring Without Words," with the Berlin Philharmonic.

Maazel arranged the thing, following Wagner's key signature arc and using nothing but Wagner's own notes for the connective tissue.

Highlights are highlights, but like Szell Cleveland recording before him, Maazel's performance catches fire and projects the epic proportions, IMHO.

Now Albrecht. Hmmm.
