What's going on here?

Would appear as if the folks in Munich are digging in the vaults with the intention of re-issuing Senior Celibidache's extensive catalog re-mastered to modern standards?

One can only dream!

"On their recently launched label MPHIL, the Munich Philharmonic is opening up its vast archives, giving listeners the opportunity to enjoy one of the richest collections of recordings by legendary artists. Because of the Celibidache era and its part in forming the core essence of the orchestra, this first MPHIL physical archive release consists of two recordings under the baton of Maestro Celibidach."

Streaming this one via QOBUZ at Redbook quality and enjoying it a LOT!

Ponderous tempi and all.

Seems to be available for download at Hi Rez(24/96), at least from QOBUZ, maybe others?
