RE: He and Minnesota recorded a Bruckner 4th

a few years ago for Bis; the final (1888) version. I was listening to it tonight. Lovely, burnished playing and sound, if a bit reticent. These forces lit it up for Beethoven, and Bruckner is the missing link between Beethoven and Mahler, so there is cause for hope. I need another Mahler 5th like I need another dog (five is enough), but....
