Just be thankful we have this hobby, like you imply; and I am like you with eclectic tastes.
I might listen to Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Phil Ramone artists on CBS, go back to the Seekers, Simon & Garfunkel, Joan Baez, etc. Then to Duke Ellington, Dave Brubeck and Preservation Hall Jazz. Then switch to Vivaldi selections on Arkiv, Beethoven Overtures by Karajan BPO, Mahler 1 LSO with Horenstein, and finish with LangLang or YuJa Wang. Variety of different genres and sources.
Why not?
I am using my long lasting hobby now every quarter at church. I make playlists for our 50 + events, and I play them during breakfast and lunch. I mix late 50's up to 80's oldies with church hymns, often in instrumental or newer arrangements. I find that many of my friends become vocalists :), with good memory of many lyrics. I tailor the songs, which sets them up to receive the teaching during the events.
