I was in the hall for the Thursday night program when the concert was recorded. I think that set of weekend concerts was Boulez's last appearance in Cleveland; one or two later dates were cancelled because of his health issues.
In the hall, Gerhaher sounded bad. His high notes were weak and forced. I didn't like Kozena, and I thought Boulez's leadership was rather enervated in the songs (slow and draggy), but excellent in the Mahler 10th adagio.
The vocal performances on the video version and CD were better; I'm guessing some of them were from other other nights of that week's program. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQZIfmfFSgQ
