BTW, although I'm also partial to the Dorati/LSO Scottish Symphony (it's actually my favorite performance of this work - Dorati is one of the few conductors who actually observes the maestoso marking at the end of the work), I always found those Mercury Wing reissues to be inferior to the originals - are you getting good results with the Wing incarnations?
