the orchestral suites and violin and keyboard concertos are all must-hear. Actually, so are the Passions, the B-minor Mass, the Coffee Cantata, the French and English suites, the Well-Tempered Clavier, the Goldberg Variations, the organ preludes and fugues, the French and English suites, the Art of the Fugue, and the two- and three-part inventions.
And as for the Brandenburgs, one of my favorites in a modern style is by Jean-Francois Paillard (probably most famous for his Pachelbel Canon record that rose to the top of the charts), and Christopher Hogwood's is one of my favorite HIP versions.
