Actually, this all brings to mind a petition that some enthusiastic, music-loving Catholics sent to Pope John XXIII during the days of Vatican II (early and mid 60's): things in the Church were "loosening up" so much that the petitioners felt emboldened to ask the powers that be to consider making J. S. Bach a Saint. No can do, said the Vatican! ;-)
