Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

Somehow it isn't fashionable

to like the work of Charles Munch. But for me, his versions of Debussy and Ravel (and other French composers) lead the way in the LP era by a comfortable margin. Pierre Monteux was in the twilight of his career by then. Andre Cluytens was also great but imho did not have quite the same caliber of orchestra to work with as the BSO of that era.
