minutes of blues/rock.
One of the best, if not the best, results of ripping all those cds' to my mac is listening to cuts that I haven't heard in years/decades.
Mad Dogs/Englishmen is getting a lot of play time, and I'm centered on the Blues Medley (#8 on the 35th Anniversary Deluxe CD). Joe Cocker is at his best, a growling tribute to Ray, Otis, and others. Bobby Keys is blowing, Rita Coolidge and Claudia Lennear with the whole choir, Chris Stainton milking the Hammond, all led by maestro Leon Russell, who shows his chops on the keyboards.A very good album, and a masterpiece of live music, put together on the road by a bunch of high flying, talented musicians in their prime. Thanks, Joe et. al.
