I can vouch for the Bruckner, Beethoven and Schumann symphonies (haven't heard the rest): these are outstanding interpretations overall. I have been meaning to post about Skrowaczewski's Beethoven symphonies for a long time and never seemed to get around to it. I only wish that the recordings were available in a hi-rez format beyond plain old CD.
Turning to single discs, the only way to get the following recording in hi-rez sound is via 24/96 downloads from the Hyperion site (as I obtained mine) - maybe not so great for gift giving:
Even if you get the plain old CD, this is neglected but quality music (interesting and stirring) in suave performances that avoid the strenuousness of some earlier recordings of these works.
In a similar category, where there are hi-rez downloads available but only CD-quality discs out in the market, here's another disc I recommended earlier this year:
I love the Sibelius symphonies as conducted by Berglund and Vänskä, but as I've lived with the following recording, I've grown more and more impressed by Levine's powerful approach to both works. It was just reissued a few months ago:
