I agree that the CD (and all the other physical media) has reached the end of its life-span, but that does not mean that it should not go out with a bang.
Many of the recordings in these sets are out of print. This may be the last opporunity to find them in a physical media.
Moreover, the price is right. These sets end up costing very little per disc.
Furthermore, these sets are collectible (as we all know digital files have no value).
