Don't means just vocalists but intrumentalists too.Seems about three times a day as I walk into the lobby at work, I hear some jazz muzak and identify the artist instantly. Like, thats Larry Carlton--no question, or Mike Stern, or Mark Knopfler, or... I do this all the time. It sometimes freaks my wife out, she cant understand how i do it, (although she knows the lyrics to so many songs I can't even comprhend the words to). But is there any mistaking Tuck Andress' style? Others that identify fast or me: George Benson, Chet Atkins, Bela Fleck (duh, like there are a lot of jazz-banjo prodigies). While these example are all guitarists or string players, I have similar experiences with voices, and other instruments. How about you?
