What you think of the term is not relevant, as has been said it is what women think of the term. There are any number of demeaning terms used by some persons who are not offended by the term nor are their peers. Only the injured party is offended.
Using such a term where one is offended could well lead to bodily harm in some face-to-face encounters. So, a little sensitivity for others would be appreciated by me and any number of others here at the Asylum. It is not a matter of political correctness as much as that of common courtesy to your fellow human beings.
I take a leap of faith that you are a part of the later genus.
