I have a hard time with Liszt not because of the "bombasticity" of his compositions but because nobody seem to get it right.
Czifra gets into the heart of the music, but he to falls into the trap of the showmanship that is so easily encouraged by the pieces. It is a pity. I think there is a a pianist out there, i just have not found it yet :)
