The music industry today is no longer concerned about finding the next rare find but about replenishing the supply as quickly as possible. That means duplication. The industry knows it takes too long to find the next Miles or Hendrix or Ella, which means lost money. So what they do is make sure that they can duplicate. Look at what’s being peddled as high quality entertainment. Just a variation on a sad theme. Take somebody (anybody) off the street, give them a bad haircut and some jacked up looking clothes and tah-da your next superstar craze. Chris Brown, Gaga, Rihanna, etc.
