RIP Gustave Mahler. Indeed, taken at the height of his creative life. The world could've had so much more music had he survived.
And, so tragic in the case of so many other's who also, either at the height of powers [Mozart, Schumann, Tchaikovsky], or entering a new, powerful phase of creative maturity [Schubert], or in the midst of still completing their careers [Bruckner], were taken from us.
May their glorious memory live forever.
I hope all of you'll join me in taking a moment to remember these great artists on Memorial Day.
