What are some great sounding jazz singer recordings?

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

I am discovering in myself a penchant for cd's recorded in the last 15 or so years by jazz singers. But I don't know too many of the newer crop of singers and need some help picking out cd's with male or female jazz singers that are super-well recorded.
I prefer the older standards (Porter, Rodgers, Gershwin etc.) and also like smaller backup groups behind the singer.
