Actually, the most critical information (at least for most of us) is how Rose's transfers compare to those that have been in circulation before on CD - Pearl (transferred by Seth Winner), Naxos (by Mark Obert-Thorn), EMI (not sure who's responsible, but it was a pretty poor job), and probably a few others I'm forgetting about.
Most of us don't have the original LP's, and aren't inclined to purchase them.
