My two cents would be that as long as you've got a good phono stage, I'd say go for the best vinyl you can find. After all, that's the sound the original engineers had in mind, and AFAIC nobody has topped vinyl for those classic analogue jaszz recordings. But of course some will value higher resolution over vinyl warmth etc etc etc so ... to each his own.
