Are you interested in classical works? I once saw a WWII documentary with a similar sequence that used the "Chant" movement from Benjamin Britten's "Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge" and it was spine-chillingly effective. On the recording I have, it runs about a minute and a half. You can check it out here (track 10):
