You can get several for $200!
Start with the Beethoven & Schubert sonatas by Kempff on DG. Fidelity wise they're only average by today's standards. But musically, they're unsurpassed- which is more important. Together they'll run about $100. Then finish off with the Beethoven string quartets by the Emerson quartet- with state of the art sound for about $100 on DG. Then book that trip to the desert island!
