Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

Beethoven; Schiff/Perenyi recording very nice- but...

Not being a piano player , but knowing a little bit about the instrument(that knowledge sometimes hampers my enjoyment of many recordings as I end up listenning to the piano's faults rather then the music)it almost sounds like the piano used does'nt have lacquered hammer felts or is this just pedal use by Schiff? I suppose I'm just nitpicking as I find the playing much more musical then the Wispelway/Lazic recording(Lazic appears quite a bit too tentative & does'nt allow the magical writing of Beethoven to flow as it can). Pianists out there please chime in & venture a guess. Thanks.
