I guess my post was a bit misleading and was too sweeping in a "20th century" assignation. There are quite a few of these I am familiar with already but have been dipping toes in unknowns and have not found likeing their music easy.
You are right to a point. But then some other composers have written music which is just so more appealing I wonder if some others are worth the effort.
For example, in the last lot of imports was a choral piece by Vivaldi "Vespri per L'Assunzione di Maria Vergine" and that glorious music is just so easy to listen to.
