I'm almost certain that the Beethoven "Eroica" Symphony with Cleveland/Christoph von Dohnanyi was done at 16/44. (This is a later release. The packaging still says "Soundstream", but I think it's 16/44.) This recording to me sounds just like Redbook, save for the RFI. The recording simply lacks stage specificity (or "air") compared to other Telarc vinyl. And the CD sounds very similar.
