For the late quartets specifically, I like the Tokyo Qt, which may be out of print, or the old Budapest Qt recordings, which many will not like due to the '40s mono sound.
So, if pressed to give a recommendation I would probably suggest getting the Alban Berg Qt's inexpensive and excellent set of the whole LvB cycle in good sound from EMI.
