I've heard ten of those orchestras live, and most of those several times, and I'd say the Philadelphia Orchestra certainly belongs in the top ten (for the record, I'm a native of NYC and have never lived in Phillie).
It's been years since I heard the Concertgebouw, but when I heard it conducted by Haitink in Carngeie Hall, it made utterly luscious sounds in Brahms and Mahler. On that evening, I would definitely have placed it as number one.
