After listening to track 6 on RL's Mississippi Hill Country Blues, I decided to pop in Eat A Peach because it sounded like "Trouble No More", but without the electrical enhancement, never mind the extra four or five musicians! I'm not a seasoned or educated person in the blues genre, but it sounds like someone re-vamped the same ol' song and arranged it differently. Not that I think you could get sued for writing "she done me wrong" or "I shot my baby" in the scheme of things (and hope I don't offend anybody by citing these non-PC phrases), but after listening to R.L.'s "Don't Care How Long You're Gone" followed by "Trouble No More" I thought somebody was taking liberties. The Allman's version was credited to McKinley/Morganfield on Eat A Peach, and R.L. just stated that all songs were traditional/arranged.
At any rate, I was curious if anyone knew the origin of this song, whose lyrics originated from one person IMHO.
Shake it on down...
