I read an article in one of the guitar magazines about him some time ago. He's from Nebraska?, North Dakota?, South Dakota?; I can't remember what state for sure but it's one of the cold Great Plains states. I got the impression that he was from the middle of nowhere and spent most of his time playing his guitar. He toured with blues legend Buddy Guy who said even he learned some things from Lang. Lang was only 15 when he recorded Lie To Me which is the only disc I have by him. I think he plays great, but some blues snobs consider him to be phoney. Guess they can't accept a Northerner white boy playing the blues.
